Module 0: Start here
Before Module 1: what this course is, how to use it, and what you'll walk away with. Ten minutes now saves you hours later.
What this course will give you
By the end of these six modules, you will have launched a real podcast: a positioned concept, gear that cost under $150, your first recorded and edited episodes, your show live on Apple and Spotify, and a growth plan for the months after launch. This isn't theory — every module ends with you having built something concrete.
Most people who 'want to start a podcast' stall at the gear research stage for months. This course is sequenced to kill that stall: Module 1 locks your concept in an afternoon, Module 2 gets you recording-ready for under $150, and by Module 3 you're behind the mic. Momentum is the curriculum.
How to use this course
Each module has three short lessons. Read a lesson, mark it complete for 10 XP, then take the quiz for 40 XP. Quizzes aren't tests — they're the key ideas restated so they stick. At the end of each module you'll find a build brief prompt: a question about YOUR show. Answer it in your own words; those answers become your launch plan.
Work the modules in order the first time through. The sequence is deliberate: concept before gear (so you don't buy the wrong mic), recording before editing (so you have something to edit), publishing before growth (so there's something to grow). Skip around on a second pass all you want.
The build brief and your PDF
Scattered through the course are build brief prompts — questions like 'describe your ideal listener' and 'write your first ten episode titles.' Your answers save automatically as you type, on your device and to your signup email. When you finish, the course collects every answer into a designed PDF: your complete podcast launch plan, in your own words.
Here's the part that matters: we keep a copy too. If you'd ever rather have us produce the show for you — concept, editing, publishing, the works — you hand us that PDF and we already know exactly what you want. No starting over, no explaining twice. That's the whole point of the build brief: it's either your DIY launch plan or your done-for-you brief. Either way, the thinking is done.
What's the first thing this course has you lock in, before any gear?
