Become an Email Marketer
By the end of this course you will be able to run email like a lifecycle marketer: welcome, cart, post-purchase, and winback flows built properly, campaigns on a rhythm, deliverability protected — and the portfolio, packages, and client pipeline to turn it into income. For brands, email commonly drives 20–40% of revenue; this course teaches you to own that number, with real 2026 rates throughout.

Module 0
Module 0: Start Here
Email marketing is one of the few marketing jobs where your work ties directly to a revenue number — and where a beginner with a practice account and a sample brand can build real, showable proof before a single client pays them. This module sets the frame: what you’ll own, what this course deliberately leaves out, and the setup you finish before Module 1.

Module 1
Module 1: The Job in 2026
The same skills get listed under four different job titles, at wildly different pay. This module maps the roles, the real 2026 rate card for freelance and contract work, the platforms worth learning, and the kinds of brands that can actually afford you — so you aim at the right target from the start.

Module 2
Module 2: Foundations
None of the revenue work matters if the emails land in spam. This module covers the three foundations everything else stands on: deliverability (can you reach the inbox), list health (is the list worth reaching), and permission (are you allowed to be there at all). Plain words, no engineering degree required.

Module 3
Module 3: Flows That Earn
Flows are the always-on half of the channel: sequences triggered by what a person just did — subscribed, browsed, abandoned a cart, bought, went quiet. They earn while you’re working on everything else, and for most brands they’re the first thing worth building. Four flows, in the order you’d install them.

Module 4
Module 4: Campaigns
Flows earn on autopilot, but campaigns are where a list stays alive — the planned sends that carry launches, seasons, and steady weekly revenue. This module covers the calendar itself: how often to send for different kinds of businesses, how to run promotions without teaching your list to wait for discounts, and how to make a newsletter people keep instead of tolerate.

Module 5
Module 5: Copy and Design
A campaign can be well targeted and well timed and still die in the inbox. Three things decide its fate: the subject line earns the open, the copy earns the click, and the design decides whether either one survives a phone screen with the images turned off. This module works on all three, in the order a subscriber meets them.

Module 6
Module 6: Numbers
Email marketers get paid the way they do because the results are visible — you can point at revenue and say "that came from this." This module builds the number sense that makes that claim honest: the metric stack that actually describes money, testing that doesn't fool you, and turning a month of data into a few sentences a client can act on.

Module 7
Module 7: Portfolio and Proof
Clients and employers can't watch you work, so they judge the evidence you put in front of them. With no client list yet, you build that evidence deliberately: a complete spec program for a sample brand, teardowns that show how you think in public, and a case-study habit that turns every piece of work — spec or paid — into proof.

Module 8
Module 8: Find Clients
Email freelancing runs on retainers — 95% of email agencies hold at least some retainer work, and brands pay because email commonly drives 20–40% of a store's revenue. This module turns the rate card into packages, shows you the audit pitch that opens doors, and covers the call, the proposal, and an onboarding process that starts with the truth about a client's data.

Module 9
Module 9: Keep and Grow
Winning the retainer is the start, not the win. This module covers the monthly report owners actually read, how scope grows on purpose — SMS, the full lifecycle map — instead of by creep, and how to raise your rates while steering clients away from the revenue-share deal that sounds generous and pays badly.

Module 10
Module 10: Find a Job
The employed road is real in this trade: brands hire lifecycle marketers in-house and agencies staff whole email teams. This module covers where those jobs live, the application that leads with proof instead of credentials, the take-home flow test, and how to negotiate pay anchored to the revenue number you'll own.
