← Find Your Focus
Glossary
Every key term from this course, in plain English. If a lesson ever uses a word that makes you pause, it'll be here.
- Mirror Conversation
- The honest self-examination in Module 1: what you're actually good at, what actually gives you energy, what you've been avoiding. No performance, just truth.
- Three Buckets
- Your raw material, sorted: skills (what you can do), experience (what you've lived), assets (what you own or have access to).
- Fuel-Drain Ledger
- Your energy audit: which activities, people, and work fill you up vs. drain you. Direction should point toward fuel, not just money.
- Direction Sentence
- Your ONE thing in a single sentence: who you serve, what you do for them, and how. If it takes a paragraph, you haven't found it yet.
- Focus Test
- The Module 4 filter: does this direction use your best skills, give you energy, and serve a real market? Three yeses or it's not the one.
- Playbook Pull
- Extracting the operating principles from people you admire — the how behind their results — without copying their destination.
- Borrow the Map, Not the Destination
- Study your models' strategies and systems, but choose your own goal. Their map, your destination.
- Leverage Zone
- Where your existing skills, experience, and assets overlap with market demand. Starting here beats starting from zero.
- Saying No
- The skill of killing good options to protect the right one. Every yes to a distraction is a no to your direction.
- Three Goals
- Not thirty — three. Measurable, dated, and reviewed weekly. Three goals you actually track beat thirty you forget.
- 90-Day Map
- Your first quarter of action: weekly blocks, milestones, and the one metric that tells you if it's working.
- Weekly Review
- The 30-minute habit that keeps goals alive: score the week, adjust the plan, recommit. Goals without review are wishes.
- Measurable and Dated
- A goal isn't real until it has a number and a deadline. 'Grow the business' is a wish; '10 paying clients by June 1' is a goal.
- Staying the Course
- The Module 6 discipline: keep executing the 90-day map when novelty wears off and results are slow. Most people quit in week five.
