You're not lazy. You're scattered. Four side projects, zero finished, and a growing suspicion you're wasting your best years. Six modules walk you through the Mirror Conversation, the Focus Test, and the one Direction Sentence that turns 'where do I even begin' into a 90-Day Map you can actually follow. Clarity first. Everything else follows.
What you’ll learn
- Run the Mirror Conversation and audit your raw material honestly
- Write your Direction Sentence, one line that names your ONE Thing
- Pass every shiny opportunity through the Focus Test before it eats your week
- Build your first 90 days around three goals that survive contact with reality
Is this for me?
Who is this course for?
Anyone stuck at 'where do I even begin' — too many ideas, too many directions, nothing finished. If you already know your one thing and you're executing, skip ahead to Zero to One.
What do I need before starting?
Honesty. The Mirror Conversation in Module 1 only works if you answer it straight — no performing, no aspirational fiction. No skills, audience, or business required. Just the truth about where you are.
How long does it take?
Six modules, three to four hours plus thinking time. Don't rush the Focus Test in Module 4 — a wrong answer there costs months, a right one saves years.

Module 1
Module 1: Start With the Truth
Every good business decision starts with an honest read of where you actually are. This module forces the conversation most people skip: what you're genuinely good at, what drains you, and what kind of life you're building toward.

Module 2
Module 2: Audit Your Raw Material
You already own more business raw material than you think. This module inventories it properly: your skills, your experience, and your interests — then finds where the three overlap into something you can actually sell.

Module 3
Module 3: Study the People You Admire
Nobody figures this out from scratch — and you don't have to. This module teaches you to study people who are where you want to be, extract the actual playbook behind their success, and adapt it to your own starting point.

Module 4
Module 4: Find Your ONE Thing
Candidates are nice; commitment is what builds businesses. This module runs your Leverage Zone candidates through a proper test, kills the good-but-wrong options, and lands you on one clear direction you can state in a single sentence.

Module 5
Module 5: Set Goals That Survive Contact With Reality
A direction without goals is a wish. This module turns your Direction Sentence into three clear goals with dates and milestones — the kind you can actually check off, not the kind that quietly evaporate by February.

Module 6
Module 6: Build Your First 90 Days
Direction picked, goals set — now make it fit a real life with a job, a family, and limited hours. This module maps your 90 days onto the hours you actually have and builds the system that keeps you moving when motivation dips.

Teardown: The Developer With Four Side Projects
He's a talented developer. He has four side projects: a SaaS for dentists, a Chrome extension, a coding course, and a newsletter about indie hacking. He's been "working on" all four for eighteen months. Combined revenue: $340/month. He works every evening and weekend and feels like he's running in place. Let's run the focus framework on him.
What's working: The raw material is excellent — real skills, real shipping ability, real persistence. His Three Buckets (Module 2) would overflow: skills, experience, assets. Most unfocused people lack material; he has too much of it pointed in too many directions.
Where it breaks: He never ran the Focus Test (Module 4). Four projects means each gets ~25% of his energy, which means none of them gets the compounding that only comes from sustained attention. The course math: one project at 100% for 90 days beats four projects at 25% for eighteen months, because traction compounds and context-switching taxes. His Direction Sentence (Module 4) would currently read as four sentences — which means he doesn't have one.
The deeper problem: He skipped the Mirror Conversation (Module 1). If he asked honestly, he'd find that three of the four projects are avoidance — they're easier than the scary work of making one thing actually succeed. The SaaS for dentists has two paying customers; that's the signal. The saying no to good options lesson (Module 4) is his whole game now: kill three good projects to let one great one live. Good options are the enemy of the right option.
The verdict: This is a Module 4 failure with Module 1 roots. He doesn't need a fifth project, a new framework, or more hours — he needs one Direction Sentence, three goals (Module 5), and the willingness to let three good ideas die. Focus isn't about finding the perfect thing. It's about picking a good thing and giving it everything for 90 days (Module 6). The $340/month isn't a traction problem. It's a focus problem wearing a traction costume.
