Start Here: How to Use This Course
Five minutes here will save you hours later. How the course works, what to do in what order, and what you'll walk away with.
What this course actually teaches
Most marketing is asking: buy this, click that, sign up here. This course teaches the opposite — give value first, earn the ask later. You'll learn the five kinds of gives (teach, entertain, inspire, connect, equip), how to give natively on every platform, how to know when you've earned the right to ask, and the 7:1 rhythm that keeps giving sustainable.
Seven modules, twenty-three lessons. Module 1 installs the mindset. Module 2 covers the five gives. Module 3 goes platform by platform. Module 4 teaches the earned ask. Module 5 sets your cadence. Module 6 shows you how to read the signals. Module 7 builds your 90-day plan.
How to use it: lessons, quizzes, build brief
Each module has three to four short lessons. Read the lesson, then hit Mark lesson complete for +10 XP. After the lessons, there's a quiz — get it right for +40 XP. Wrong answers just show you the right one; there's no penalty for trying.
Scattered through every module are Build brief prompts — questions that ask you to apply the lesson to your own marketing. Your answers save automatically, both on this device and to the cloud.
At the bottom of the course overview page, your answers collect into Your build brief. Hit Download my build brief PDF for a designed document with every question and answer — your give-first marketing plan, in your own words.
How long it takes, and what you'll have
Most people finish in two to three weeks at one module every couple of days — roughly five to seven hours total. No deadline, no streak to break.
When you finish, you'll have: a give-first mindset with the ledger to prove it, five give formats you can produce, a platform-native giving plan, an earned-ask framework, a weekly 7:1 rhythm, a signal-reading habit, and a 90-day plan — plus a build brief PDF documenting all of it.
What does the 7:1 rhythm in this course actually count?
