Content That Converts

Most content gets read and forgotten. By the end of this course you'll publish like a media company that happens to sell something — answering real customer questions, building trust rung by rung, and turning readers into buyers.

Views don't pay the bills. Buyers do. In six modules you'll learn the principles that separate content that entertains from content that converts: the Publisher Mindset, the Question Bank, and the Trust Ladder. Stop publishing into the void. Start publishing toward the sale.

What you’ll learn

  • Build your Question Bank — turn every customer question into a content piece that pulls buyers toward you
  • Move people up the Trust Ladder — stranger to reader to buyer to advocate, one rung at a time
  • Make every piece worth reading — useful, human, specific: the qualities that earn shares
  • Convert the attention you earn — CTAs, email capture, and content that keeps working for you indefinitely

Is this for me?

Who is this course for?

Anyone who publishes — blogs, video, newsletters, social — and wants that content to drive sales, not just views. You don't need an audience yet. The principles work from zero.

What do I need before starting?

Nothing but something to write with and access to your customers — or future customers. This is a principles course: no software, no budget, no followers required.

How is this different from Content Marketing?

Content Marketing teaches the production system — how to create content consistently. This course teaches the principles — what makes any piece of content actually move someone toward buying. Take both: system plus principles.

Choose your track

Not everyone needs the same path. Pick the one that fits where you are.

Explorer track

Modules 0–2: the case for content, the Question Bank, and the Trust Ladder. If you take nothing else, take these — they change how you see every piece you'll ever publish.

Builder track

All modules in order, one per week. Build your Question Bank in week two, map your content to the ladder in week three, and ship one converting piece per week from week four on.

Operator track

All modules, then the Question Bank becomes a permanent system: every customer question logged, every piece mapped to a rung, every quarter an audit of what's compounding.

Your build brief

Everything you write in the build brief prompts across this course's modules collects here. Download it as a designed PDF — and we keep a copy too, so when you're ready for us to build it for you, we already know exactly what you want.

Teardown: one weak blog post, one strong blog post

The weak post: "10 Tips for Better Marketing." Ten generic tips, no specific reader in mind, no question answered, no next step. It could have been written by anyone, for anyone — which means it converts no one. It ranks for nothing, answers nothing, and ends with "thanks for reading." The business published it, felt productive, and got exactly zero buyers from it.

The strong post: "How Much Should a Plumber Spend on Google Ads?" One question, one reader (a plumbing business owner), real numbers ($500–$2,000/month for most local shops), a worked example, and a next step: a free budget worksheet in exchange for an email. It answers a buying question — the kind typed into Google by someone about to spend money — and every paragraph moves the reader one rung up the Trust Ladder.

Run both through the principles. The weak post has no Question Bank entry behind it — nobody asked for "10 tips." The strong post is a Question Bank entry word for word: a real customer asked it on a sales call. The weak post serves every rung at once and therefore serves none. The strong post knows its reader is on the reader rung and hands them the exact next step to the buyer rung.

What most people would get wrong: they'd try to fix the weak post with better SEO or a prettier design. The problem isn't distribution — it's the principle. Generic content can't convert because it was never aimed at a real question from a real buyer. This is Module 1's whole point: the Question Bank is where converting content starts.

The lesson: one specific question from one real customer beats ten generic tips every time. Answer the question fully, be useful enough to share, and end with one clear next step. That's the whole course in one post: Publisher Mindset, Question Bank, Trust Ladder.
