Master the LinkedIn Algorithm
Most people post on LinkedIn and hope. By the end of this course you'll understand exactly what the algorithm rewards — the golden-hour test, dwell-time mechanics, format strategy, the Comment Ladder — and you'll run a weekly system that compounds reach without chasing virality.
No prerequisites — pairs well with LinkedIn Personal Branding
LinkedIn decides who sees your post in the first 90 minutes. In six modules you'll learn what the algorithm actually rewards — the Dwell Test, format mechanics, the Comment Ladder, the consistency system — and build a weekly rhythm that compounds. Stop posting and hoping. Start posting with a system the algorithm can learn.
What you’ll learn
- Run every post through the double Dwell Test — and engineer the 'see more' click that drives the algorithm's favorite signal
- Match format to idea using real performance profiles: text, carousels, video, polls, and images
- Climb the Comment Ladder from invisible liker to recognized voice, and multiply reach with golden-hour replies
- Run a sustainable 3-post weekly rhythm on content pillars — and measure the four numbers that actually matter
Is this for me?
Who is this course for?
Anyone building a presence on LinkedIn who wants their posts actually seen — founders, freelancers, job seekers, and marketers. You don't need a big following; the algorithm rewards signal quality, not follower counts. If your posts get 200 views and 3 likes, this is your course.
What do I need before starting?
A LinkedIn account and something to say about your work. No ad budget, no premium subscription, no existing audience. This course is about the organic game — earning the reach the algorithm gives freely to the right behavior.
How long does it take?
Six modules, about 30–45 minutes each of learning. Most people finish in two weeks — and the real coursework is the weekly rhythm: post three times, comment daily, measure monthly. The system compounds from day 90.
Module 0
Module 0: Start Here
What the LinkedIn feed actually is, the golden-hour test every post faces, the full signal hierarchy the algorithm uses to rank you, and why most advice about the algorithm is wrong. Fifteen minutes now saves months of shouting into the void.

Module 1
Module 1: Dwell Time
The number-one ranking signal, dissected: how the algorithm actually measures attention, the mechanics that generate it — the 'see more' click, carousel swipes, video watch time — and how to engineer every post to earn seconds instead of glances.

Module 2
Module 2: Formats That Win
Text, carousels, video, polls — each format earns dwell differently and the algorithm treats each differently. This module breaks down the real performance profile of every format, when each one wins, and how to match format to idea.

Module 3
Module 3: The Comment Game
Commenting beats posting for beginners — and most experienced creators underuse it. The full strategy: why borrowed distribution works, the four-rung Comment Ladder, the rules of comments the algorithm actually rewards, and the golden-hour reply system.

Module 4
Module 4: Consistency System
The algorithm rewards rhythm, not spikes — and the data is unambiguous. Build your content pillars, set a sustainable weekly cadence, and create a system you can run for a year. Compounding only works if you don't quit in month two.

Module 5
Module 5: Beyond the Post
Posts are half the game. The credibility signals that compound, why employee advocacy outperforms company pages, how to spot AI-suppressed patterns in your own content, Dark Reach — the invisible spread — and the four numbers that actually matter.
Choose your track
Not everyone needs the same path. Pick the one that fits where you are.
Explorer track
Modules 0–1 plus the Comment Ladder: learn how the feed works, master the Dwell Test, and spend a month commenting strategically before you worry about posting volume. Borrowed distribution first.
Steady track
All modules in order, one per week. Three posts a week on your four pillars, fifteen minutes of commenting daily, monthly metrics review. This is the system the course was built for — run it for 90 days before judging.
Authority track
All modules, then go deep on Modules 3 and 5: rung-three commenting on twenty target creators, employee advocacy through your team, and Dark Reach cultivation via DMs. Built for founders turning LinkedIn into pipeline.

Teardown: one weak post, one strong post
The weak post: "Excited to share some thoughts on leadership! In today's fast-paced world, great leaders need to adapt. Here are my top tips. [link to blog] #leadership #mindset #growth #success #motivation" — dead on arrival, four ways. The opener is throat-clearing that wastes both visible lines. The link sits in the body, quietly suppressing distribution. Five generic hashtags add nothing. And there's no reason for anyone to stop: no claim, no gap, no pain named. It fails the Dwell Test in under two seconds.
The strong post: "I fired my highest-performing salesperson last month. Here's why it was the best decision I made this year." Two lines, and the 'see more' click is irresistible — a surprising claim plus a wide-open curiosity gap. The body delivers immediately: three short paragraphs on what happened, each one line, white space between thoughts. No link in the body. It ends with "What's the hardest personnel call you've made?" — a genuine question, not engagement bait. This post earns the click, rewards it instantly, and manufactures dwell through structure.
Run the Dwell Test on both. The weak post's first two lines — "Excited to share some thoughts on leadership!" — could open ten thousand posts. Zero information, zero tension, and the reader has learned nothing that makes the click worthwhile. The strong post's first two lines contain a decision (fired), a paradox (highest-performing), and a gap (why was it the best decision?). The scroll test is over before the sentence ends — and lines 3–5 pay off the click immediately, training the reader to trust this author's expansions.
What most people would get wrong: they'd try to fix the weak post with hashtags, posting time, or tagging influencers. None of that matters. The problem is the first two lines and the in-body link — both free to fix, both decisive. This is Module 1's whole point: the Dwell Test would have caught this post in ten seconds, before it ever faced the golden hour.
The lesson: the algorithm doesn't reward the best ideas — it rewards the best-packaged ideas. Same author, same insight, wildly different reach. The difference is mechanics: the hook earns the click, the structure earns the seconds, the ending earns the conversation. That's the system this course builds, post by post.
