Social Selling on LinkedIn
Cold DMs get ignored. Warm relationships get replies. By the end of this course you will have a complete system — the Warm-Up Rule, the Credibility Stack, the DM playbook, and the Conversation Pipeline — for turning LinkedIn into a steady source of clients without ever pitch-slapping a stranger.
No prerequisites — pairs well with LinkedIn Personal Branding — Fluent Collective Courses
Nobody buys from a stranger's cold DM. In six modules you will build the full system: a profile that sells before you speak, a prospect list ranked by buying signals, a two-week warm-up that makes you familiar, messages that get replies, and a pipeline that turns conversations into clients. Stop interrupting strangers. Start earning conversations.
What you’ll learn
- Run the Warm-Up Rule: two weeks of visible engagement that makes every outreach warm
- Build the Credibility Stack — profile, content, and engagement that earn trust before the first message
- Write connection notes and DMs that get replies, plus follow-ups that add value instead of annoyance
- Operate the Conversation Pipeline: six tracked stages from first sight to signed client
Is this for me?
Who is this course for?
Anyone who sells to other businesses and wants LinkedIn to produce clients — founders, freelancers, consultants, salespeople. If your current LinkedIn strategy is "connect and pitch," this course will rebuild it from the trust up.
I already have LinkedIn Personal Branding. Is this different?
Yes — that course is about building an audience and a brand. This one is about converting relationships into revenue: prospecting, outreach, messaging, and pipeline. They pair perfectly — brand builds the trust, this course spends it wisely.
How long does it take?
Six modules, about 30–45 minutes each of learning. But the real coursework is the practice: the two-week warm-up, the daily 20-minute routine, and working your first 100-prospect list. Most people see their first warm replies within three to four weeks.
Module 0
Module 0: Start Here
Social selling is the discipline of building trust on LinkedIn before you ever ask for anything. This module defines what it is, why cold pitching fails, and the trust economy that makes the whole system work — so you never confuse activity with progress again.

Module 1
Module 1: The Credible Profile
Before you message a single prospect, they will check your profile. This module turns it from a resume into a sales asset — the Credibility Stack that builds trust before the first message is ever sent.

Module 2
Module 2: Finding Prospects
You cannot sell to everyone, and trying to is why most outreach fails. This module teaches you to find the right people — search like a sniper, spot the buying signals that reveal who is ready, and build a prioritized prospect list.

Module 3
Module 3: The Warm-Up
This is the module that separates social sellers from spammers. The Warm-Up Rule — engage visibly for two weeks before you ever pitch — plus the commenting mechanics that make familiarity real, not performative.

Module 4
Module 4: Messages That Get Replies
You have warmed them up. Now the message. This module is the DM playbook: connection notes that get accepted, messages that get replies, follow-ups that add value — and how to handle every kind of response.

Module 5
Module 5: From Chat to Client
Conversations are the goal — but only if they go somewhere. This module covers the pivot from chat to call, the Conversation Pipeline that tracks every prospect, and the follow-up system that turns 'not now' into clients.
Choose your track
Not everyone needs the same path. Pick the one that fits where you are.
Observer track
Modules 0–1: understand the trust economy and rebuild your profile into a sales asset before you touch outreach. No messaging yet — just the Credibility Stack, done right. If your profile would not survive a prospect's ten-second scan, start here and stay here until it does.
Active track
All modules in order, one per week. Build your 100-name list, run the two-week warm-up, send your first warm connection notes in week four. The daily 20-minute routine starts in week three and never stops. Steady beats frantic.
Closer track
All modules, then full pipeline operation: 100+ prospects warming at all times, weekly Friday reviews, pipeline math guiding every decision. This is the track for sellers who want LinkedIn as a primary revenue channel — systematic, measured, relentless about follow-up.

Teardown: one weak outreach message, one strong one
The weak message: "Hi Sarah, I help companies like yours generate more qualified leads with our platform. I'd love to show you a quick demo — are you free Tuesday?" Run it through everything this course teaches. The Warm-Up Rule: broken — Sarah has never seen this name before. The Credibility Stack: unverified — she will check the profile and find a job-title headline. Specificity: zero — "companies like yours" could be anyone. The ask: a demo with a stranger, the highest-friction request possible. Every link in the trust chain is missing, so the message does what cold messages do: gets deleted.
The strong sequence starts two weeks earlier. The seller comments thoughtfully on Sarah's posts about lead quality — four times, each comment adding a real perspective. Sarah notices the name. Then the connection note: "I'm Daniel, I work with B2B teams on lead quality. Your post on MQL definitions stuck with me — especially the bit about sales rejecting half of them. Would love to connect." Three lines, specific, no pitch. She accepts — she recognizes him. A week later, the DM: "Your follow-up post on lead scoring was sharp — curious, are you seeing the same drop-off between MQL and SQL that most teams report? Happy to share what we've seen work, no pitch." Under 60 words. Hook (the warm-up), relevance (her exact topic), soft CTA (a question).
What most people would get wrong: they would try to fix the weak message by rewriting it — better subject line, stronger CTA, a limited-time offer. None of that matters. The problem is not the words; it is that every word arrives without trust behind it. Rewriting a cold pitch produces a prettier cold pitch. The fix is structural: warm-up first, credibility stacked, specificity earned — then the message almost writes itself.
The lesson: the strong sequence wins before the DM is ever sent. Two weeks of visible engagement, a profile that passes the ten-second scan, and a message that references real shared context. That is the Warm-Up Rule plus the Credibility Stack plus specificity — the three pillars of this course — working as one system. Trust before pitch is not a slogan. It is the mechanics.
